My 2019 Beauty Favourites!

Hey guys! Today I am sharing my 2019 beauty favourites! This year was a crazy year for makeup launches, there seemed to be a new palette every week! But this year I tried to be smart with my money and only purchase items I was sure I would love. So surprisingly there are no palettes this year! Instead, I focused a lot on my skin and my base products. I also revisited products that I already had in my collection. I am going to start with skincare, and then go through base, eyes and then lips. So without further ado, here are my 2019 beauty favourites.

Photo 2020-01-01, 1 43 05 PM

My favourite moisturizer is hands down the Laneige Water Bank Hydro Gel. I have noticed such a difference using this moisturizer. My skin just looks and feels so hydrated. I love how lightweight and cooling this feels. My favourite part of my skincare routine is applying this moisturizer.

My favourite mask is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty. When my skin is looking and feeling gross and I have a ton of breakouts, I like to use this mask. I feel like it does a great job of cleaning my skin and help heal active acne. The only con is that because it’s full of natural ingredients, it dries out pretty fast. So I just buy the smaller version because I can’t finish the large.

Another Laneige favourite is their Lip Glowy Balm. This may be controversial, but I like this more than their Lip Sleeping Mask. The squeezy tube is much easier to use. This product is a beautiful hybrid between a lip balm and a lip gloss. It hydrates my lips but makes them look juicy and glossy.

My favourite primer has to hands down be the Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizerprimer. I didn’t think I was going to like this primer as much when I got it in my Boxycharm, but I just fell in love. It illuminates my face without emphasizing my pores. It is such a natural, radiant glow. I have almost finished this primer, which is impressive since it comes with an ounce of product. This is basically the only primer I use anymore.

My two favourite foundations this year are the Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation and the Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Hydrating Foundation. The Physicians Formula foundation was apart of my 2018 favourites and it’s back again. I love the medium, satin finish. It helps even out my skin but I can still see it underneath my foundation. And the duo-foot applicator just makes it so easy to apply. My other favourite foundation is the Smashbox one. The shade and undertone matches me sooo well. It’s more matte compared to the Physicians Formula one, but I mix it with a serum to help thin it out.

If I had to pick the one product I used the most this year, it would probably the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is not a new concealer, but this is the hands-down the one I used the most.  This concealer is great because it has medium coverage so it’s not too heavy or cakey looking under the eyes but does a great job of brightening up the area. For 2020 I am going to try and expand my concealer selection, so please give me your concealer recommendations!

For powder, I liked the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. I remember seeing it on everyone’s 2018 favourites and I knew I had to try it out. This is a very smooth powder. It’s perfect if you have dry skin because it’s not a very mattifying powder.

This year I fell in love with the Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Bronzer. First I love that there is a range of shades and undertones, so I think anyone can find their perfect shade. I like this bronzer because it has the perfect amount of pigmentation. I find a lot of bronzers are too pigmented, so I have to use a light hand. But I prefer bronzer that I can build up on my face to get the glow that I want. It’s a great matte bronzer!

The next two products are creams. This year I fell in love with using cream products. I find that they just last longer on my skin and look more natural. I do find them a little harder to use than powders, but I like the effect especially in the summer. My favourite cream blush is the Colourpop Blush Stix. I have the shade Splash and next time I order from Colourpop I want to pick up and peachy shade. My favourite liquid highlight was a limited-edition collaboration between Boxycharm and Temptu. I think it gives me a natural glow and is easy to blend out.

2019 was the year that I realized I do like volumizing mascaras. My three favourites are the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, the Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara and the Covergirl Exhibitionist Mascara. The Too Faced and Covergirl ones are both quite similar in that they give good volume. The Tarte one less voluminous but more lengthening. I also like the Tarte wand better because I don’t get mascara on my lids as much. I have been alternating between all three of the mascaras this year.

And finally, my two favourite lippies. The first is Colourpop Just a Tint lip crayons. I have the shade Rise N Shine, which is a peach shade. I love these lip crayons because they are super hydrating and comfortable on the lips. These lip crayons are sheerer than their Lippie Stix, but give more pigmentation than a traditional tinted lip balm. They are the perfect everyday lipstick, and I will purchase more.

My other favourite is the Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment in the shade Light My Fire. This bright orange-red is my go-to bold lip now. The red works with my skin tone, but the formula is also great for a bold lip. It’s a very liquidy liquid lipstick, that dries down into also a bright stain? I’m not sure how to describe this formula, but it’s unlike any other liquid lipstick that I have tried. It doesn’t dry out my lips or emphasis my lips, and it wears off very well. I would eat dinner and then just use my finger to blend out the edges and it would look good as new. This lipstick is amazing and while I don’t wear it every day, whenever I do I feel so fierce.

And those are my 2019 favourites! Let me know in the comments what your favourite beauty products were this year? I hope everyone had a great year 🙂

Boxycharm 2019 Favourites

Hey guys! Today’s bonus post is my favourite Boxycharm products that I have received this year. I picked seven products that I like and would recommend purchasing!

Photo 2019-12-29, 2 22 13 PM

From February is the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I know this mascara is a holy grail product for many people, but I have never personally tried it. Well, I fell in love with this mascara. It makes my lashes look full, long and fluffy – everything I want in a mascara. I love the packaging. It’s simple but also feels heavy and luxurious in the hand. The only thing I don’t like is that the wand is very large, so I have to be careful not to get mascara on my eyelids. But overall I like this mascara!

The second product from February is the Sol de Janerio Coco Cabana cream. I love this cream. The consistency is a little more gel-like than the original but still very moisturizing. It’s also not your typical coconut scent, the hint of praline makes it more complex. I brought this cream with me to Europe so now it just reminds me of that trip!

From March is the Cover FX Perfector Face Palette. This is the best travel face palette. I brought this to Europe and Punta Cana with me. The mirror is the perfect size to see my whole face. The blush and contour are very pigmented, so I use a light hand with them. But the highlights are gorgeous and I like that there is a pink and gold shade. The brightener shade is perfect for the inner corner and brow bone. The only shade I don’t like is the finishing powder. It’s full of glitter and I would prefer a matte shade. The packaging is very sleek but does get dirty which is annoying. But I will always pack this with me from now on because of the mirror and highlights.

Photo 2019-12-29, 2 22 29 PM

In May I received the GlamGlow GentleBubble Daily Conditioning Cleanser. This has become my shower cleanser. I use this cleanser whenever I’m having a shower, usually after I workout. I’ve had this since May and I’m still pretty impressed that I haven’t finished it yet. It does a good job of washing my face without making my skin feel stripped. The scent is a little weird but it’s fine for the shower. But this is one of my favourite products mainly because of how practical it is and how much I can use it. I don’t use fancy face masks all the time, but a cleanser is something I use all the time. So I feel like I got my money’s worth with this product.

The next favourite is from August. I like the Ace Beaute Glimmer Shadow Duo Set! I accidentally left Cotton Candy in Punta Cana, but that’s okay because Iced Latte was my favourite anyways. These remind me of the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows. The main difference is that the Colourpop ones have more glitter but don’t have as much pigment to them. These Ace Beaute ones have more pigment to them with glitter as well. These shadows are super easy to use but very impactful. I really like them!

Photo 2019-09-06, 12 22 49 PM

From October is the Dose of Colours Baked Browns palette. I’ve always wanted one of these palettes and they did not disappoint. I love warm browns so this isthe perfect palette for me. And I can just add a shadow like the Ace Beaute one to create a full look. Sometimes the basic neutral palettes are the best!

Now I haven’t posted my review yet, but spoiler I love the Saturday Skin Waterfall Glacier Water Cream from my December box. This reminds me of my favourite Laneige moisturizer, but even more gel-like. My skin just loves gels moisturizers. It leaves my skin looking and feeling hydrated. I look glowy and all I’ve used is a moisturizer. I would definitely recommend!

And those were my favourite Boxycharm products. Let me know in the comments what were your favourite products that you received from Boxycharm this year! 🙂

Revisiting my 2018 Favourites

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great holiday! I didn’t have a post go up on Tuesday because I was travelling, so I will have a bonus post go up on Sunday come back for that. Today I will be going back to my 2018 Beauty Favourites and sharing my thoughts on those products. Do I still love them and recommend them?

Photo 2018-12-15, 12 20 22 PM

My palette recommendation was the Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow palette. I actually just brought that palette with me to Punta Cana because I love the cream contour. I don’t use the highlights or bronzers very often though. I have tons of highlights that I use more often than these, but maybe that’s something I should work on using more.

My foundation pick was the Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation and I still love this foundation. I use it all the time still and I 100% still recommend this foundation.

My two concealer favourites were the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. I still love the Nars concealer. It’s basically the only concealer I used all of 2019. I didn’t use the Estee Lauder concealer that much. I find the shade I have to be a bit too yellow, so I don’t use it very often.

My powder recommendation was the Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder. I still really like this powder. I don’t use it as often because I am trying to use up other powders in my collection, but this powder is still really great if you have oily skin.

My two mascara favourites were the  IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara and the Butter London Double Decker Mascara. I finally threw away my Butter London mascara because it was getting really old and flaky. But I really do like the Butter London mascara. It makes my lashes look naturally wispy. This mascara is just not easy to purchase in Canada. I did repurchase the IT Cosmetics mascara and I do find it’s great at giving lashes volume. But I do have different mascaras that are my 2019 faves, so stay tuned. 👀

I had four favourite lip products. The first was the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm. It’s good, but I prefer other lip balms over it. I will finish my current one (currently living in my car lol), but I don’t think I will repurchase it. Next was the Girlactik Long Lasting Matte Lip Paint. Man, I still love this lipstick. I wear it all the time, it’s just a great shade and is comfortable on the lips. Next was the  Creme Lux Lipstick by Colourpop in the shade What’s Your Sign. I do like this lipstick, but I don’t wear it very often. I definitely should wear it more! Finally was the Sephora Collection Outrageous Effect Volume Lip Gloss. I’m not as into this gloss anymore. I find the lip plumping effect to be a little annoying. Like I do like the look of the gloss, but I could do without the lip plumper.

The final favourite was the PUR PRO Eyelashes. I still like these lashes. I am super careful with my lashes, always taking the glue off so these lashes are still kicking around. Because I like these lashes so much I don’t wear them very often, but I probably have a few more wears before they are done.

And those were my 2018 favourites. It’s funny how some products I still use all the time, and others I have barely used in 2019. On Tuesday I will be sharing my 2019 favourites, so make sure it check that out.

Easy Holiday Glam

Hey guys! Today I have a super easy tutorial to create an easy holiday look. This look requires NO FALSE LASHES and is only six easy steps. I think this look is perfect for family gatherings because it has a little sparkle but it’s not too over the top. This look is simple enough that I think anyone could do it! I used my palette of the month, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam, to create this look but any neutral palette would do.

Photo 2019-12-05, 11 04 39 PM

The first step after prepping the eyes is to apply a light brown all across the crease. I used the shade Burnt Orange to do this.

Photo 2019-12-05, 11 05 37 PM

Next I deepen the crease by using a slight darker shade. I used the shade Rustic to do this. I concentrated this in the outer half of my eye.

Photo 2019-12-05, 11 07 02 PM

Now to brighten the eye up, I applied Tempera all over the lid. This shade has some light shimmer to it, but a matte shade would also work. I used concealer underneath and did a half-cut crease to make it look really bright, but just applying the shade over top of the other shades works as well.

Photo 2019-12-05, 11 07 59 PM

Next is the sparkle. I added Fairy, or any light gold shade, all over my inner corner. I brought this shade really high up to really brighten my eyes. I added a little gold glitter on top to really make it pop, but this is just extra. I used the Appeal Cosmetics Gold Liquid Eyeshadow.

Photo 2019-12-05, 11 29 58 PM

To finish off the eyes, I applied Cyprus Umber along my lash line. Then I applied a ton of mascara. I also applied just a little Burnt Orange under the eyes as well.

Photo 2019-12-05, 11 28 10 PM

Then I finished my face makeup and applied a red lip – because it isn’t an holiday look without a red lip 😉 I used the MAC matte lipstick in the shade Russian Red.

And that is my easy holiday glam! The red lip can be switched out for a nude to make it a more regular glam look as well. Let me know if you want to see a part two, maybe for New Years Eve?

Broken Documentary Review

Hey guys! I am done my first semester of school! I am so happy to be done, the past couple of weeks have been super stressful. Now I have a lot of fun content planned for the next couple of weeks. First I wanted to share this review of a Netflix series that I watched. As some of you may know, I studied Communications at university. One of my favourite courses was my television course, so I really enjoy watching and reviewing tv shows.

Photo from: https://media.netflix.com/en/only-on-netflix/81002391

Some of you might have already heard about this series on Twitter because it features Marlena Stell. While Marlena is a pretty controversial person within the makeup community, the series is not just about makeup. The series is an investigative documentary into the manufacturing and marketing of four huge industries: counterfeit makeup, e-cigarettes, cheap furniture and plastics.

I watched the first episode because it was about makeup, but I was so intrigued that I watched the rest of the series because I liked its narrative style. Every documentary has a narrative, and this one is quite interesting. The episodes are generally broken into four parts: background history of the issues, the current issue, how the issue is connected to another part of the world and then back to the USA and the future of the industry/issue. I found the background helpful for understanding the issue. Even the makeup one shared info I didn’t even know about the cosmetic industry!

I won’t spoil the series if you are interested, but I do want to share some things that really stood out to me. First, they interviewed Colourpop for the counterfeit makeup episode. It blows my mind that Colourpop has a five day turnover from having an idea to creating the product. No wonder they can have a new palette launch every week. I also found the fact that they talked about the scarcity tactic, of only releasing a few products to drum up demand, very interesting.

The vaping episode was crazy to me. Vaping has been all over the news the past couple of months, so it was good timing for them to have an episode focusing on the topic. A fact that really stood out to me was that 63% of teens that smoke Juul don’t even know it contains nicotine. I definitely recommend everyone, whether they use vapes or not, to watch this episode.

I have heard of fast fashion before, but never fast furniture. I never realized how dangerous and unsustainable furniture from IKEA is. They said that there is a death from furniture tipping over every 30 minutes. It’s crazy that a piece of furniture, that would easily be redesigned, is killing so many people. The episode really looks into the politics of the furniture industry. I found this episode extremely informational since I didn’t know much about the topic.

The final episode just really hit home something I think a lot of people already knew – that plastics are extremely bad for the environment. I keep on telling people this fact, but only 9% of the world’s plastics have even been recycled. I know that plastic is bad for the environment, but this episode really drives home the fact that big industries are doing so little.

I really liked the overall theme of the series, which was that it’s really up to the consumers to make a difference with our purchasing power. If there is no demand for the product, then the suppliers will have to cease production.

Anyways, I would recommend this series to everyone. Its an hour an episode, so that’s a great way to spend an afternoon over the holiday break!

Products of the Month – December 2019

Hey guys! So today I am sharing my thoughts on my November products, and reveal the products I am going to be using in December. If you didn’t read my November post, I am picking two products that I want to focus on using. It’s not exactly a project pan, but I do want to focus on the products that I have and to get more use out of them!

Photo 2019-12-06, 1 08 12 PM

My November products were the Colourpop Element of Surprise palette and the Steve Laurant Lip Liner. First I want to acknowledge that the Colourpop palette has been discontinued. I do notice a bit of a difference in the quality of the eyeshadows in this palette compared to my other Colourpop palettes. They have improved the quality of their shadows. But man I love this colour story! I had so much fun using this palette. I was able to create so many looks, and I got a ton of compliments while wearing this palette. I will continue to use this palette.

Photo 2019-11-08, 1 13 34 PM

I used the Steve Laurant lip liner probably every day that I wore makeup, and I only sharpened it once. I was shocked at how much you have to use a lip liner to make a difference. I will say that I like this lip liner! The shade is slightly deeper than my natural lip colour, so it matches me well. It’s super creamy and does last well throughout the day. I don’t think everyone needs to go out and buy this lip liner, but I will continue to use it.

Photo 2019-12-06, 1 09 20 PM

Now for my December products! First, for the palette I picked the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette. I love this palette, but I feel like I only reach for it whenever I’m doing a glam look, not for everyday use. But I do think there are wearable colours in this palette. In December, there are a ton of parties and fun events, so I think this palette can help me get through all of that. Overall I am excited to play with this palette more.

The other product I picked is a deluxe sample of the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance. I feel like I’ve had this in my makeup collection for a while but haven’t used this at all. I have been into dewier skin lately, and I think this will be nice for when I am on vacation. I am hoping to finish this product, so fingers crossed I can do it!

And that is my update on my products of the month! Let me know if you have any suggestions for next month. And if you are doing any project pans or something like that, let me know what products you selected!

November Boxycharm 2019

Hey guys! I swear November went by so fast. Yet at the same time, the beginning of November seems so long ago. I got my Boxycharm box at the beginning of the month and it feels like forever ago. I was super impressed that I got my box so early this year! Boxycharm has been stepping up their Canadian shipping! Anyways, this month’s box:

Photo 2019-11-10, 2 26 38 PM

This month was the first month that Boxycharm allowed for customization. So I choose the Kypris Antioxidant Dew Quench & Glow Serum. Listen, don’t buy this serum. It isn’t bad by any means, but it is not worth the $90 price tag. It is a lightweight serum, so this wasn’t the deep hydration that I was expecting from a serum that markets itself as a dewy, quenching serum. I would say this serum is nice to use before applying makeup because it left my skin feeling tacky. But overall I wouldn’t say that my skin felt super hydrated after. I will continue to use it because I own it, but it’s nothing special. Price: $90 USD

Next up is the Dose of Colours Liquid Matte Lipstick. I received the shade Nude Mood. I am very happy because for a while I was always getting weird shades that I would never wear, but this one is nice! It’s described as a pinky nude, but I think it is more warmed toned than cooled toned. I do like this liquid lipstick. It’s pretty comfortable because it doesn’t dry down completely. It can smudge if you’re not careful. It can surviving drinks but isn’t eating food proof. But what I did after eating is just apply a lip balm and redistribute the colour around my lips. Overall I like this lippie, and it’s my favourite product in the box.

The next products are the Tula Skincare Star Power Nourishing and Brightening Cosmic Hydrogel Mask. I like that I received two masks because it allowed me to test the mask out to see if I liked it. And well I didn’t really. First I hate how much plastic there was for the one sheet mask. Don’t get me wrong, I get that sheet masks aren’t the most sustainable thing. The sheet mask is two separate pieces sandwiched between two pieces of plastic within a plastic pouch. It just feels bad that a clean beauty brand is so wasteful in its packaging. Then the other issue I had was that I didn’t notice a huge difference compared to other products I own. Like I felt that using my normal moisturizer would leave my skin as bright and hydrated as this mask. If I am going to use a mask it’s because I’m looking for something impactful, or maybe that’s just me. Either way, I don’t think these masks are worth the cost. Price: $22 USD for two, sold as a four-pack for $28 USD

Next Boxycharm  made its first-ever brush set. And well I’m not the biggest fan. First, they are very soft, but they are very dense and stiff. I feel like I have to work hard to blend anything out. Because they are so dense they are not good for powder. They only really work with creme products. I also find the shape of the handle weird and they don’t have a very good balanced feel in the hands. Overall I didn’t like using these brushes. I’ve received a ton of brushes in my box before, and these were my least favourite. Price: $35 USD for the two brushes.

The final product is the Dominique Cosmetics Celestial Thunder eyeshadow palette. This is a mini version of the Celestial Storm that is available both on the website and at Sephora. The one I received can be purchased from the Boxycharm website, but I don’t recommend it. This colour story is just so off and weird to me. I only did one look with this palette because I had no idea what to do. The orange is very pigmented and the brown also pulls very orange. It is impossible to do a simple everyday look. The mattes were really good quality, they blended well. But the metallics were mediocre. I’ve used better. Overall the quality isn’t bad, but the colour story throws me off so much that I doubt I will use it much. Price: $35 USD (the full palette is $58 CAD)

Overall I didn’t like much in this box. I liked the liquid lipstick, but otherwise I was kind of unimpressed with everything else. Sucks because I’ve felt like the past couple months the Boxycharm boxes were really good. And maybe other people liked their boxes because they got different variations. Either way, this one was a dud for me. Let me know your thoughts down below in the comments!

Sephora VIB Sale Haul

Hey guys! If you guys have been following me for awhile, you know when I don’t post for a bit it’s usually because I am busy with school. So sorry for taking so long to get this up, BUT school comes first! I still wanted to share my Sephora VIB Sale haul even though the sale is over. Might be useful for some Christmas wish-list inspiration 😉 I have two bonus products that I bought on Sunday with a coupon I got in the mail. So without further ado, my haul:

Photo 2019-11-23, 12 06 59 PM

First I got the Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops in medium. I am going down south before Christmas, so I wanted to get some self-tanner. My friend owns this self-tanner and she recommended them to me! You add a few drops to your moisturizer and then apply it to your body. I will definitely update you guys on how it works!

Next I repurchased my two favourite setting sprays. The first is the MAC Prep + Prime Fix +. I love this setting spray because it does an amazing job of melting my makeup into my face and making it look so flawless. The other setting spray I got is the Urban Decay All Nighter. I really do think this spray makes a difference in how long my makeup lasts. I got a mini so I can bring it with me on my vacation.

Another repurchase is the GlamGlow Bubblesheet mask. I kinda hate that I love this mask because $12 is a lot for one sheet mask. But it does such an amazing job at cleaning out my skin. Plus it’s really fun to use. So I have this one for special occasions, and only buy it when its on sale.

My favourite moisturizer at the moment is the Laneige Water Bank Hydro Gel. I have been using this moisturizer for almost a year now, I am just in love. It’s the perfect texture – not too thick and not too thin. It really hydrates my skin and I have really noticed a difference using this moisturizer.

Next is a very boujee purchase. I bought myself the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk. This shade is their best seller and is known to be the perfect nude. I have heard so many people rave about it that I decided to try it for myself. While this lipstick is pretty pricey, sometimes you have to treat yourself!

Final product is a repurchase of the Beauty Blender. I love this sponge, but it ain’t cheap. I always like to get it during the VIB sale to save money. I basically buy a new one every sale and throw out my old one. While these babies last longer than disposable sponges, it’s important to change then after a couple of months.

And that is my Sephora VIB Sale haul! Let me know what you guys bought in the comments below!

Products of the Month – November 2019

Hey guys! So this is a new series I want to start on my blog. After decluttering my makeup collection (post coming soon!) and watching a few project pan/no buy videos, I wanted to implement something myself.

So the plan is for every month (except this one lol) I will pick a products that I am going to focus on using. I will try and use those products as much as possible. Then the first Tuesday of the next month I will give an update and pick new products for the month!

I have selected two products for this month. The first is the Colourpop Element of Surprise palette. Now unfortunately I just realized that it’s unavailable anymore. But I think it’s good for me to use up products. So all month long I am going to focus on only creating eyeshadow looks using this palette. Next month I promise I will select a palette that is still available lol!

The other product I have selected in the Steve Laurant Lip Liner. I have a bunch of lip liners in my collection, but I never use them. So since this one is basically brand new – I only got it in my Boxycharm three months ago – I thought it would be good to get some use of it.

So I have included some photos of what the products look like now, and in my update I will share if I have made any progress and my thoughts on the products after using them for a month!

I would love if you guys would join me in this journey! Let me know if you are working on any project pans in the comments below!

Product Empties November 2019

Hey guys! So today I am sharing my product empties! And like every other product empties post, this is going to be a long one! So let’s get right into it.

Photo 2019-11-08, 1 12 30 PM

First is the Glamglow Bubblesheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask. This is the best sheet mask I have ever used. Most sheet masks are just good at hydrating the skin, but this sheet mask did an amazing job of cleaning out my pores. My skin felt and looked so clean after. And it was super fun to use with all the bubbles. Not the cheapest sheet mask on the market, but good for those days when I want to treat myself.

Next is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. This was an old shade that they don’t make anymore, which is sad because it matched me perfectly. I did repurchase it, but the one I own is a little too warm for me. This is a really good full-coverage concealer. For all my Canadian gals this is a great dupe for the Tarte Shapetape.

Two mascara empties are the Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara and the Butter London Double Decker Mascara. The Tarte mascara is one of my favourites and I did recently repurchase it. I like the Butter London mascara as well. It made my lashes look super fluffy and long. Unfortunately, Sephora does not sell this mascara, and I don’t love it enough to go through the hassle of ordering it online.

Next up is three dry shampoos. And funny side story: I was needing shampoo and I finished all three bottles in one go because they were all almost done! Always happens when you need something that you are out of it! Anyways, I finished two Batiste dry shampoos, one in the scent Rose Gold and one mini in the original scent. Batiste is a great drugstore dry shampoo, but I prefer the Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo Dark Tones more. This does not leave a white cast like the Batiste one. I do find that my hair looks greasy by the end of the day still, but it looks way better than if I hadn’t used dry shampoo. I decided to repurchase the Moroccanoil one.

I just finished an Amika mouse, but it apparently doesn’t exist anymore. Honestly, that’s okay because it wasn’t my favourite mousse. It did an okay job. It defined my curls more than if my hair were to air dry, but I’ve tried mousses that have done a better job before. Still on the hunt for the best product for enhancing curls!

Next up is an Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. This is one of my favourite setting sprays. It just does such a great job of locking my makeup lock in place. I also notice a difference using this compared to some of my other setting sprays. I will definitely be purchasing another one.

A skincare favourite is the Garnier Micellar Water. It’s just the best and most sensitive way to remove my makeup. I do like to use a cleansing balm now and then, but this is good for those lighter makeup days when I don’t need a thick balm to remove my makeup. It also doesn’t leave my skin feeling dried out after either. Love it!

Another skincare favourite is the St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. It’s just the best at exfoliating my face. And I love that it’s a drugstore product. Whenever my face is feeling gross I will use this scrub and it feels so much nicer after! I love it and would definitely recommend.

I was waiting until I repurchased the Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream before finished the one I had. I just love this cream. I brought it with me to Europe, so every time I smell the cream it reminds me of my trip. It is also so hydrating. Will forever be repurchasing this lotion.

The final product is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty. I really like this mask. It does an amazing job of cleaning my face and helps with any active breakouts. Whenever I have a big bad zit this is the mask I grab. I also love the refreshing smell. Unfortunately, this mask dried out before I could finish it, but I did decide to repurchase it because I love it so much. I will make an effort to use it up before it dries out this time!

And those are my beauty product empties! Let me know your thoughts on some of these products, or if you have any product suggestions for me!

xoxo
